What is accreditation?

Literally, accreditation means β€˜The act of officially approving of something’. Within In2event it means requesting and approving individuals, groups, or companies access to your event and the specific items they can use or have during the event.

Accreditation category

Accreditations are filed in the system through categories. Examples of accreditation categories are:

  • Wristbands
  • Catering
  • Machinery
  • Parking ticket

Accreditation item

Accreditation items are part of a category. The previously mentioned categories could for instance contain these items:

  • Wristbands: all-access, backstage, artist, crew
  • Catering: lunch, dinner, midnight snack
  • Machinery: ladder, manitou, forklift
  • Parking ticket: crew parking, artist parking, VIP parking

How do you add accreditations?

Adding accreditations can be done in two ways. If you want to add categories or items that you expect to use at other events in the future, you can add them via the Launchpad settings. That way they are in your general settings and you can always use them.
If you want to add categories or items that will only apply to a specific event, you can add them within the event.
