Replacement tags, what are they and how do you use them?

It's possible to use replacement tags to personalize the body text of the briefing emails. In this article, we'll explain what that means and how you do it.

What is a replacement tag?

When sending out a briefing, it gets sent to many people at once. When creating the briefing, you write the text for the accompanying email. Using a replacement tag, you can still personalize this text for every recipient.

How do you do it?

If there is a tag in your text, the recipient will not see the tag, but the personalized text instead. You can see the tag as a placeholder. An example:

If you write: ''Hey __FIRSTNAME__'' the recipient won't read exactly that, but recipient Robin will read ''Hey Robin'' and recipient Bobby will read ''Hey Bobby''

What replacement tags can you use?

The following replacement tags can be used in the email body text of crew and guest briefings.

  • __FIRSTNAME__  for the recipient's first name
  • __LASTNAME__ for the recipient's last name
  • __FULLNAME__ for the recipient's full name
  • __COMPANY__ for the name of the company associated with the recipient's profile

The next tags can be used for the email body text of artist briefings.

  • __FIRSTNAME__  for the recipient's first name
  • __LASTNAME__ for the recipient's last name
  • __ARTIST__ for the name of the artist associated with this recipient
  • __COMPANY__ for the name of the company associated with the recipient's profile.
